Mailing Lists
The Realm Linux mailing lists are the central avenue for development and one of the best places to be for support from the Linux community at NCSU. The following is a list of each mailing list and its purpose. To subscribe to any of these lists send email to mj2@lists.ncsu.edu with a body of
subscribe LISTNAMEwhere LISTNAME is the part before the '@' sign of one of the following lists.
realmlinux-announce@lists.ncsu.edu [Archives] - A moderated list where announcements of new versions and errata are made. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stay informed about Realm Linux.
realmlinux-user@lists.ncsu.edu [Archives] - A user forum for Realm Linux. A great place to ask questions about how to set something up or use something in Realm Linux.
realmlinux-dev@lists.ncsu.edu [Archives] - This is the place for discussion of development issues and the back end systems used to support Realm Linux.
realmlinux-commits@lists.ncsu.edu [Archives] - Subscribe to this list if you wish to see the patches committed to the CLS CVS and Subversion repositories.
realmlinux-service@lists.ncsu.edu [Archives] - This is an access controled list for potentially sensitive administration issues with Realm Linux. Membership is restricted to the IT personel at NCSU. Similar in nature to the ccc-adm list.
Jabber
Many of the CLS developers and other interested folks normally hang out on a Jabber chat on the NCSU Jabber server. Folks interested in the project or that need to talk to one of us are welcome to join.
