rpath Realm Linux
Welcome to the project to port the RHEL based version of Realm Linux to rpath linux. Here is some information about installing machines with rpath linux and configuring conary to work with the CLS conary repository.
View rPath Label Policy
Installing
You can download the latest version of rpath linux from one of the two NCSU mirrors (ftp://{mirror,ftp}.linux.ncsu.edu/pub/rpath/linux/alpha/). It installs much the same as RHEL beacuse rpath linux uses anaconda.
You can also download the boot.iso from the campus install server or one of the mirrors and use that to install from http with the server install.linux.ncsu.edu and path /pub/rpath/0.24/i386.
Anyone interested in being able to use web-kickstart with rpath linux please send email to linux@help.ncsu.edu.
Configuring Conary
Add the install labels for the CLS conary repository server to your system wide conaryrc (/etc/conaryrc). In your conayrc you should see a line that begins with installLabelPath. The labels that you want to add are conary.linux.ncsu.edu@ncsu:devel and conary-contrib.linux.ncsu.edu@ncsu:devel.
More information about conayrc can be found on the rpath wiki.
Building Packages
You will need a few bits of information to be able to build packages in a repository or just play around with the build side of conary. To gain access to the CLS repository please send email to linux@help.ncsu.edu.

Communicating with Developers
Realm Linux developers tend to hang out on the jabber channel cls@conference.jabber.eos.ncsu.edu and pay some attention to realmlinux-dev@lists.ncsu.edu or you can send email to linux@help.ncsu.edu.
